Wanted: Dead is a stylish slasher we have had our eye on for a little while now. Developed by Soleil, a studio that includes talent responsible for creating Ninja Gaiden (a series from which a lot of inspiration was taken) and Dead or Alive, combat is the primary verb in the game, and it's designed to be difficult.
While it is stated that the initial string of combos players will be introduced to will be enough to make it through the opening hours of the game, but mastery of more advanced combat mechanics will be required to overcome some of the game's toughest encounters.
It honestly feels like something of a throwback to the halcyon days of the PS2, which is a time we often find ourselves nostalgic for. One of Wanted: Dead's playable in-game minigames is even getting a free, standalone release on PS5, which you don't see every day.
Wanted: Dead is coming to PS5 and PS4 on Valentine's Day, 14th February; the perfect game to share if you have a special someone in your life or to console yourself with if you don't. What do you think of the run-and-gun gameplay on display? Let us know in the comments section below.

games being challenging again is always welcome
As long as the challenge is fair and not cheap, I'm all for it. Been looking forward to this one for a while, hope it delivers.
Looks pretty good but i'm not seeing anything that makes it stand out from the other games like this. Wet,ninja gaiden etc have all done this so its going to have to be something really special to be a hit or its a wait for for a sale game..
Ninja Gaiden all i needed to hear
So... am I reading this right? The game is less than a month away?
It doesn't look bad, but at 0:48, the player death animation looks like it's from PS2 era. The enemies don't do that, I wonder what's up with that.
Easy pass for me, no thanks, I hate edgy games 🙄🙄 this game won't win any fun prizes smh
The protagonists face looks somewhat strange to me, like she's a PS2 era NPC that got remastered by an AI art generator... otherwise the game looks pretty damn fun though.
@Northern_munkey Hmm, I'd say, this kind of game is rather rare these days and the iconic examples are pretty old. So, if it's a quality game, for now, it's pure existence is special enough. Also, there are even less games that blend third-person-shooting with elaborate close quarter combat. So, "Wanted: Dead" comes off as somewhat unique in it's own right, in my opinion.
i feel this game may get lost in feb. atomic heart, wild heart, hogwarts. just see it lower in quality.
This looks like the closest thing to a true John Wick game we have, or will have, for a long time.
I just wish it looked REMOTELY new-gen.
@Gamer83 exactly. Ninja Gaiden 2 and 3 were extremely cheap on the highest difficulty
Cool.ninja gaiden games are awsome.but this game looks ok.the combat looks really fun.more games is always welcome.word up son
Same developer from Valkyrie Elysium, which I enjoyed, however I'm expecting some jank as a result.
When I first read the title, I thought the game has something to do with the movie Wanted with James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie. Frankly, curving bullets, however ridiculous it is, should be in more games than the one released as a tie-in to the movie in 2008 because it's can look so cool.
I had this game pre-ordered at first, but then it was canceled dye to payment miscommunication. I took that as a sign to wait for it to be $20 New in a few years.
